The Bermuda Government has awarded Foreshore the contract to provide it with outsourced email services. Delivered from Foreshore’s facilities in Queens Road, the service is a customised version of its Privacy Professional secure messaging service. The contract covers a four year period and is worth a six figure sum.
The Privacy Professional service ensures total security for organisations communicating electronically with clients and partners. Unlike conventional email, the service guarantees the integrity of the contents and the authenticity of the sender.
"The Bermuda Government recognises the importance of ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and authenticity of communications between ministers and other senior government officials. This being particularly important when they are travelling abroad or working on sensitive projects. After a comprehensive selection process, Privacy Professional was chosen to provide a secure email system as it most closely matched our requirements." said The Hon. Renee Webb, JP, MP, Bermuda’s minister for tourism, telecommunications and e-commerce.
She added: "We look forward to working with Foreshore and are confident that they can significantly add to the already comprehensive e-government program being enacted by the Government."
Chris Evans, Foreshore managing director, said: "We are delighted to have been selected by the Bermuda Government for this important project. In this instance we were obliged to meet stringent quality standards and subjected to a lengthy third-party audit."
"It is testament to the quality of the services that can be provided from Jersey that a local company has been selected over others geographically closer to Bermuda. This is further evidence that Jersey is becoming an accepted centre of excellence for electronic businesses services." he added.
