Foreshore has officially opened the latest expansion of it’s Queens Road Datacentre. The third phase of the Queens Road development, which includes new air-conditioning and cooling and cooling equipment was opened by Senator Alan Maclean, Jersey’s Minister for Economic Development. The expansion will provide 2,500 square feet of extra space and represents an investment of over £1 million.
The minister said it was encouraging to see Foreshore investing at a time of econmic uncertainty. He said the company stood out as an example of a diversified business which had shown "the tenacity to realise its vision and the entrpreneurship to make it succeed".
The opening was also attended by visiting students from Jersey College for Girls, who were given a full tour of the datacentre facilities and took part in a competition to win an iPod touch.
