Offshore platform
About the Mimecast Offshore platform
The Mimecast Offshore Platform provides the next generation email architecture to offshore companies that depend on rich and reliable messaging capabilities. Mimecast combines a number of business critical email management functions into a single management platform to improve effectiveness and to radically reduce cost of ownership and operation. The platform deploys high quality, internet-delivered services for each product via its resilient utility grid, spanning multiple data centres. Unlike other managed service offerings which leave customers in the dark or with minimal access, there is absolutely no management trade-off between owning onsite technology and having it provisioned remotely.
The structure is made up of linux devices spanning the network of datacentres, each performing different functions at different levels, with replication taking place between each datacentre. The front end of the structure facilitates the smooth running of web and mail services, the process and control part of the structure houses the database, store and application controllers, while the back end storage blocks allow for the storage of databases, indexes, emails and files.
