Content Delivery Networks (CDN) are critical for enhancing
a site's reliability, scalability and quality. The main
features and benefits of our CDN are:
Security and reliability
Multiple levels of redundancy ensure maximum availability of your
mission-critical data. The distributed Content Delivery
Network (CDN) has more than 400 locations in more than 100
different ISP's. The very nature of the CDN is to have no
single point of failure.
Expandability
As your company grows, or unexpected flash crowds come and go, the
content delivery network allows capacity on demand on the fly
without notice, or investing in additional hardware, space, power
and IT support.
Cost
Save money from having to build, manage and maintain your own
global infrastructure. Take advantage of our patented
technology and expertise with our state of the art caching and
streaming networks.
There is no cap or limit on the amount of bandwidth you can
utilise or burst up to allowing you to cope with flash traffic, and
there is no additional premium charging for bursting other than
paying the excess usage charge.
Ease of implementation and use
Once a potential customer has been through a technical evaluation
process, implementation times can be as little as 14 days.
The main pre-requisite for being able to implement the caching
service is that the image source tags on your website can refer to
a complete URL such as "http://images.company.com/logo.gif" as
opposed to "/logo.gif". Provided that your website is either
currently designed in this way, or can be modified to work in this
way then the implementation process is straight forward.
Throughput
The CDN improves network performance, reduces load and bandwidth
from the origin servers and can scale to changes in traffic demands
at any given moment. In addition to traditional content caching of
the images on your website, a variety of rich media content such as
shockwave files, software downloads, streaming video and audio can
be delivered through CDN.
