We offer a number of solutions which support Disaster Recovery.

 

Online Backup
A primary concern for most companies is how to get corporate data safely and efficiently offsite on a daily basis.  Our Online Backup solution gives you a managed network backup to resilient storage data vaults replicated between our two datacentres in Jersey.  Changes in your data or files are compressed and encrypted before being backed up to our vaults.  The data is stored compressed and encrypted on the vault storage system and may be restored to your disaster recovery servers either here or at another location.  The use of sophisticated delta change technology means that only relatively small bandwidth connectivity is required to backup large amounts of data.

The service backs up files based on their content regardless of the hardware or software environment.  After the initial backup, only the blocks that have changed are processed on subsequent backups that make the service extremely efficient and provides backups across the globe that can in some instances be faster than the equivalent local full backup to tape.

You can then choose to restore this data to servers located here at network speed, or to servers located anywhere in the world via the internet.  Alternatively we can copy your data securely to a USB disk and have it shipped to your disaster recovery location.

Email Solutions
Standard email servers do not provide long term email retention.  Keeping large volumes of email in a live email server reduces its performance particularly for backup and recovery purposes.  We offer a solution which works seamlessly with your existing email infrastructure.  Retention policies and storage are managed independently of your primary mail server and independently of end users.

End user archives can be imported into the service so that historical emails form part of your managed storage set and end users can continue to have reliable access to their old emails.  We offer the capability to manage and control the retention of all emails, whether created within your email infrastructure, your website or other business systems.

All information stored across the infrastructure including attachments, body content and metadata are encrypted with Advanced Encryption Standard (AES).

Database replication
Database utilities may be used to replicate changes from your live environment to a duplicate database held on a server located in our offshore datacentre. Depending on the type of database used there are a number of methods to achieve this.  In the event of a disaster access to the applications running from within our offshore datacentre may be provisioned through a browser or thin client technology.

Software based utilities
Software based utilities may be used to mirror volumes or applications from your live servers to disaster recovery servers located in our offshore datacentre.  There are a number of vendors with products that can achieve this.  In the event of a disaster access to the applications running from within our datacentre may be provisioned through a browser or thin client technology.

Hardware or appliance based storage replication
A number of storage vendors provide the ability to mirror or replicate data from a storage system in your live environment to one located in our datacentre. Depending on the vendor and the type of appliance this can include NAS, SAN, fibre-channel and iSCSI storage subsystems.  In the event of a disaster access to the applications running from within our offshore datacentre may be provisioned through a browser or thin client technology.
